Robert Neal Heavin

Robert Neal Heavin was born November 11, 1928, on a small farm west of Cement and north of Cyril, Okla. He died Thursday, July 16, 2020, in Mertzon, Texas, at the age of 91 years.

Heavin served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Southern Baptist Church of Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Elva and Annie Esther (Cannon) Heavin; and two wives, JoAnn (Cole) McCool and Phyllis (Seelig) Heavin.

Survivors include three children and their spouses, Gary and Darlene Heavin of Mertzon, Texas; Deron and Bill Swinney of Garland, Texas, and Alisa and Dennis Jacobs of Knoxville, Tenn.; and four stepchildren and their spouses, Aleta and Robert Crum, Carol and Ken Walstein, David and Debbie Seelig and Steve and Teresa Seelig, all of Chandler.

He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Dean Carlon of McLoud, Okla.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.

A graveside service was held Monday, July 20, 2020, at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
