Melody Rina Switzer was born September 12, 1962, in Fairfax, Okla. She died Tuesday, August 11, 2020, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 57 years.
The daughter of Carol Dean Culp and Freida Irelene (Scott) Young, she married Darren Townsley.
She graduated from high school in Bixby, Okla., and was a caregiver.
Preceding her in death were her father and her stepmother Caroline (Roberts) Culp.
Survivors include her mother; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Cassie Townsley; four grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Sonya and Mark Lindenbeger; two half brothers, Jack Culp and Jeff Culp; and other relatives and friends.
No services are scheduled at this time. Final arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud.
