Regina Shurmet (Kerns) Robinette of Tryon was born to Steve Edward and Beulah Catherine (Davis) Kerns on September 30, 1963, in Chandler. She died Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in Tryon at the age of 57 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Regina attended elementary school in Try-on and graduated from Perkins-Tryon High School in 1981. She was a receptionist at National Standard Power Plant.
Regina married Roy Daniel Robinette on June 15, 1991, in Tryon. They spent 29 wonderful years together doing all the things they both loved.
She was a member of Christian Union Church in Tryon. The most important things to her were her family, kids, grandchildren and lake life. She was fun loving, loved motorcycles, dancing and music. She brought hours of fun to everyone that knew her by jumping out and scaring them, spraying water at the kids or just chasing them around. She was definitely the life of the party.
Regina is survived by her husband Roy Daniel Robinette of the home; her children, Damon Roy Robinette and Rachel of Tryon and Whitney Robinette and Trenton of Perkins, Okla.; grandsons, Brody Daniel Robinette and Bladen Cly Robinette of Perkins; her K9 companion Tilley; mother-in-law, Carolyn Ann Buchanan of Medford, Okla.; and lifelong friends, Michael and Carol Williams of Chandler.
She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Tina Williams and Bob of Savage, Md., Renae Shelton of Henderson, Tenn., Katrina Talbot and Eric of Silver Creek, Neb., Tonya Farasyn and husband Kurt of Parkland, Okla., and Mike and Charissa Kerns of Tryon; her sisters-in-law and spouses, Geraldine Whitt of West Liberty, Ky., Mary Ashcraft and Alvin of Chandler, Shirley Biby and Jerry of Wakita, Okla., Ruth Guinn and Kevin of Coalgate, Okla.; brother-in-law, Danny Buchanan of Medford; along with numerous nieces, nephews and special Lake Eufaula friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, her fathers-in-law Roy Parmer Robinette and Jerry Buchanan, and nephew Landyn Wade Graham.
Services were held Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coalgate, which handled the final arrangements. Pastor Steven Grotheer officiated and honorary casket bearers were Jonathon David Morgan, Jeremy Daniel Morgan, Kristopher Lee Graham, Ryan Parmer Graham, Logan Roy Graham, Cody Farasyn, Dustin McCarty and Dallas Talbot.
