Dean Earl Gallaway

Dean Earl Gallaway was born to Jesse and Mildred (Parrett) Gallaway on April 21, 1944, in Prague. He died Thursday, October 15, 2020, in Shawnee at the age of 76 years.

A graduate of Meeker High School, Dean worked as an insurance adjuster for Allstate.

Preceding him in death were his father and one brother, Boyd Gallaway.

Survivors include his mother; his wife of 49 years Ruthie Gallaway of the home; his children and their spouses, Bobby and Glenda Gallaway of Choctaw, Okla., Tommy and Angi Gallaway of Noble, Okla., James and Tina Gallaway of Moore, Okla., Kevin and Jessica Gallaway of Stillwater, Okla., Leslie and Marvin Yocham of West Texas and Laurie and Lance Christian of Meeker; 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, his sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Dale Kennedy of Meeker and other relatives and friends.

A funeral was held Monday, October 19, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Meeker with the Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Burial followed at New Salem Cemetery, Meeker, under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
