James Dale Morningstar

James Dale Morningstar, age 74, of Wylie, Texas, passed away November 7, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas. Jim was born July 3, 1946 in Mancelona, Mich., to William and Bernice Morningstar. He resided in Chandler, Okla., until moving to Wylie in 2019. Jim was previously Pastor of Pioneer Baptist Church. He married Judy Hoover April 4, 1969.

Preceded in death by his son Andrew Morningstar, his parents, six sisters and three brothers.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years Judy; daughter Rebecca Barrier and husband Stephen; son Gregory Morningstar; grandkids, Alex Morningstar, Casey Barrier and wife Katie, Blake Barrier and wife Cassidy, Aden Morningstar, Alisha Barsin and husband Daniel, Jaqueline Morningstar, Gabrielle Lewis, Abrienne Schofield, Gwenyth Schofield, Ashlynn Schofield and Kyleigh Barrier. His great-grandkids Athena, Kayleigh, Eli, Bryson, JoLee and Kade; sisters Linda, Cathy and Janice. Several in-laws, nephews, nieces along with other relatives and friends.

The family is going to have a private family viewing, Thursday, November 12, 2020 and will plan a memorial at a later date.
