Michael Kent Smith

Michael Kent Smith was born July 25, 1967, in Chandler and died Monday, November 16, 2020. He was 53 years old.

Smith was the son of Carolyn Sue Blakley and stepfather Bud Blakley and Bob Dewayne Smith and stepmother Elaine Smith. He married Darolyn Suzanne Newnam on July 11, 1997, in Eureka Springs, Ark.

A 1985 graduate of Davenport Schools, h e was an electrician and owned his own electrical business.

Preceding him in death were his father, stepmother, stepfather and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his mother; his wife Darolyn Smith; his children and their spouses, Megan and Michael Throne, Paige and Jonny Pack, Garrett and Brittney Smith and Heather Dunavin; and six grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother and sister in-law, Ricky and Genia Smith; his stepbrothers and their wives, Skip and Tammie Blakley, Dick and Cleta Blakley and Stephen and Karie McKinney; his stepsister Missy Utley; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 20, 2020, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, which handled the final arrangements. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, November 21, 2020, at the Smith Family Property with Bro. Mike Mitchell officiating.
