Dorthy Rilla (Kirkpatrick) Taylor was born August 18, 1932, in rural Lincoln County. She died Monday, April 27, 2020, at the age of 87 years.
Taylor, the daughter of Lawrence and Pearl (Moore) Kirkpatrick, married Billy D. Taylor on December 30, 1950.
A 1950 graduate of Chandler High School, she worked with her husband delivering the Tulsa and Oklahoma City papers and helped build and run Taylor Auto Service and Family Recreation Center. She was a charter member of Southern Baptist Church of Chandler.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and June Kirkpatrick, George Kirkpatrick and Clifford and Eloise Kirkpatrick; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ella and Alvin Jones and Coralie and Allen Sherman.
Survivors include her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Denise Taylor; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rhonda and Coleman Webber and Sherryll Taylor; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A private graveside service was held Friday, May 1, 2020, at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler officiated by Bro. Keith Henley. Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
