Lady Lions crack the rankings

    Chandler’s girls peeled off four straight wins and moved to No. 18 in the Class 3A rankings.

    The Lady Lions had their win streak snapped by No. 13 Prague, 28-23, Monday night in the rescheduled finals of the Ripley tournament. Chandler hosted Prague Tuesday night.

    The win strreak included a 43-35 win over McLoud in the Chesapeake Arena, a 58-45 win over Meeker at home and 55-29 and 31-8 wins over Yale and Ripley, respectively, in the Ripley tournment.

    Prague, ranked No. 13, dropped in seven three pointers and only two-point bucket to know off the Lady Lions in the Ripley finals.

    Chandler led, 17-15, at the half, but managed only a point in third quarter.
