Warrant issued

A $25,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Chandler woman facing four felonies and two misdemeanors after she failed to appear for her initial appearance. Formal charges were filed Aug. 2 in Lincoln County District Court against Desmyn Cheynne Hill, 30.

Hearing set in Stroud man’s death

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Jennings man facing a manslaughter charge or in the alternative negligent homicide after his semi-trailer truck collided with a vehicle driven by a Stroud man who died in the crash.

Investigation continues in shooting of teens

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into a shooting that injured two teens, still seeking to identify two suspects. The two teenagers were reportedly injured in a shooting north of Chandler just before midnight on Aug. 11.

Stroud is such a great place and to me it’s an exciting place. There is so much happening in the way of community improvements that it’s hard not to get excited. Kudos to our City Council for thinking outside the box and hiring Bob Pearman as our City Manager.
