Felonies filed in December car chase

A man from Stroud has been charged with a total of four felonies in two different cases and a Stroud woman faces two felonies in connection with some of the counts against the man.

Charges filed in battery case

A Sparks woman faces a felony and a misdemeanor following her arrest earlier this month by Lincoln County deputies. Riki Dawn Bales, 48, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on March 11 with Battery/Assault and Battery on a police officer and obstructing an officer.

Two felonies in February arrest

A Lincoln County driver faces six charges following his arrest in late February by a state trooper and Chandler police. Chance Don Goodman, 35, of Chandler, faces two felonies and four misdemeanors.

Felony in larceny arrest

A Prague man faces a felony charge and a misdemeanor count following his arrest by Seminole police last October. David Franklin Lewis, 40, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on March 2 with larceny of automobile, aircraft or other motor vehicle.

COVID cases slowing in area

The number of deaths and new cases in the area attributed to COVID-19 has slowed significantly in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties, Oklahoma State Department of Health figures show. Since March 16, there has been one more death in Pottawatomie County and none in Lincoln County.

Kendrick man pleads, awaits sentencing

A man from Kendrick is awaiting sentencing after he entered blind pleas on charges filed against him earlier this month. Oscar Dee Trey Third Messer, 37, entered the pleas before Lincoln County District Judge Cynthia Ferrell Ashwood on March 9. She set his sentencing for 1:30 p.m. on April 13.

Chandler library adds 26 children’s books

The Chandler Public Library added 26 new children’s books to the children’s collection including easy reader, juvenile nonfiction and juvenile fiction.

Four face felonies in Lincoln County case

Four people from Pottawatomie County are each facing four felonies following the alleged burglary at a house in Lincoln County earlier this month. A $20,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of one of them.
