Meeker raises rates

Meeker residents and business owners will see another increase in what they pay for sewer, water and trash in the near future. The Town Board, during a special meeting on Monday, met first as the Public Works Authority and voted 5-0 for the increases.

Teen injured in crash

A one vehicle traffic collision near Agra in Lincoln County critically injured a teenage driver recently. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Snyder reported the 17-year-old driver from Welch, OK, was transported by Medi-Flight to OU Medical Center and admitted in critical condition.

The Meeker Board of Education Monday night voted to provide a stipend for all personnel of the district for the 2020-2021 school year. The board also accepted the retirement of Virgil Fowler, Middle School Dean of Students, and the resignation of his wife Rebecca Fowler, lSD instructor.
