Miller added to Oklahoma Memorial

Lucky Miller, Mannford Police Chief and former Stroud Police Chief is one of 24 law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty will be dedicated on the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial. The 52nd Annual Oklahoma Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Service will take place Friday, Oct.

Lincoln County Republicans to meet Tuesday

Lincoln County Republicans will meet 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the courthouse lobby in Chandler. Discussion will be on the upcoming General Election and a report will be given on the state convention.

FFA chapters participate in conference

Officers from FFA chapters throughout Lincoln County recently participated in the 2020 Oklahoma FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training Conference at the Embassy Suites in Norman. The conference, planned and conducted by state FFA officers, focused on conflict resolution within a team.

Food giveaway in Wellston

On Friday, Oct. 30, free food will be distributed through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program. The boxes contain a meat product, dairy, fruit and vegetables. This is not a needs based program, so the food can go to anyone without restriction.

Fire Prevention Week in Stroud
