Plans underway for Cowboy Rodeo in Prague

Team entries are being accepted for a Cowboy Rodeo to be hosted by the Prague Round-Up Club. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Prague Rodeo Arena. A limit of 12 team entries will be accepted. The first 12 checks received by Tuesday, Sept. 1, will be entered.

34 residents at the Chandler Therapy and Living Center tested positive for COVID-19 with some tests results still pending, according to Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Wendi Marcy.

Davenport schools awarded aviation education grant

Davenport Public Schools was awarded an $8,000 grant through the Aviation Education Grant Program provided by the Oklahoma Aviation Commission. Davenport Superintendent Danny Acord applied for the grant in May and said they will use the money to update their flight simulator.

Voters head to polls for primary runoff

Ostrander charged t with first degree rape

Donald Lee Ostrander, 56, of Wellston was charged with first degree rape of a child under 14. According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Sheriff Deputy Detective Larry Stover Sr., the victim told her mother Ostrander raped her.
