Williams qualifies for nationals

Local motocross racer Jace Williams, 17, of Chandler, has officially qualified for the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Waverly, TN— the world’s largest amateur motocross race and the most prestigious in the U.S.The race runs July 28-Aug.

Felony charges for Stones in child abuse, neglect cases

Preliminary hearings for a Meeker pair have been scheduled on two felony counts of child related charges filed in June.Linda, Stone, 64, and Billy Stone, 66, were formally charged in Lincoln County District Court in June. Those charges include enabling child sexual abuse and child neglect.

Hotel order dissolved

The temporary restraining order placed on the City of Chandler regarding the St. Cloud buildings has been dissolved, and the motion for a preliminary injunction has been denied, according to court documents filed on July 9.

Schools still waiting on federal money

Schools in Lincoln County are still missing federal funds in the midst of a federal-level freeze. According to the superintendents at Chandler and Stroud, the schools are missing about $57,000 and $80,000, respectively, of what they received in federal funds last year.The U.S.
