McLoud City Council members during their most recent meeting appointed a new mayor and vice mayor and created a committee as the result of an ARPA Community survey. City Manager Cody Roe said Councilman Daniel McClure, Jr.

(opinion) Most students at White Rock have played sports or been involved in some form of athletics for half of their lives. There have been kids that have graduated from here and continued playing the sport that they grew up on or tried different sports successfully.

The other evening as I was coming home from a meeting, I drove by a Little League baseball game. It was good to see all the young kids playing ball and lots of parents gathered around cheering for their team.

BAYLEE BLANCARTE Every Wednesday I take the newspapers to Tryon post office. This Wednesday was no different. On my drive I saw two separate mothers with toddlers playing on the trampolines in their yards.

Thursday, April 20th, is a busy day of activities which includes Route 66 Metal Detecting Club at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, Stroud Community Clothing Ministry open 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the Stroud Middle School baseball team in Meeker for a game against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.

Hearing set in cultivation case

Preliminary hearings have been scheduled for two men from Okmulgee arrested by Lincoln County deputies and charged with cultivating a Controlled Dangerous Substance after 386 marijuana clone plants were seized. Quing Li Zheng, 55, and Wei Goa, 41, were each charged Nov.

Chop shop suspect to stand trial

One defendant in an alleged chop shop operation has been ordered to stand trial, an arraignment has been set for another and the pre-preliminary hearing has been continued for a third.
