Powerlifters win at Bethel - record for Peery

The Chandler boys powerlifting team won the Bethel meet last Thursday and Kalee Peery set an unofficial state record in the squat. Peery squatted 270 pounds, which is five pounds more than the state record of 265 lbs for her weight class.

A last minute change in the schedule last weekend due to the weather put two No. 1 teams in different classes squaring off against one another. The Dale Pirates, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, defeated Roff, ranked No. 1 in Class B, 34-27 in a contest played at Vanoss.
