Mural of memories

A large mural depicting the history of Chandler was recently completed, spanning the entirety of the retaining wall in front of City Hall on Manvel Avenue. The mural was designed and painted by Bob Palmer. See more photos on page 2A.

LeotaJean(Murray)Hall was born the daughter of Dempse C. and Kathryn L. Murray on September 22, 1936, near Carney, Oklahoma in Lincoln County. Leota was an only child for ten years until the family welcomed a sister, Betty Laraine Murray in 1946.

Felony charges for Stones in child abuse, neglect cases

Preliminary hearings for a Meeker pair have been scheduled on two felony counts of child related charges filed in June.Linda, Stone, 64, and Billy Stone, 66, were formally charged in Lincoln County District Court in June. Those charges include enabling child sexual abuse and child neglect.
