2023 -Year in review

2023 was quite a year, with triumphs, tragedies and, sometimes, humor. Here’s a look back at the events of the year. - Several Lincoln County contestants completed in the International Finals Youth Rodeo that kicked off in early July at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee.

Pair sentenced in child sex cases

A Chandler man has drawn multiple life terms and his wife also has been sentenced on sex-related crimes with a minor. Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on Sep. 21, 2022 against Destiny Ann Lowe, 39, and her husband Robert Wayne Lowe, 41.

Trial set in turnpike case

A jury trial has been scheduled for an ex-convict facing two felonies and a misdemeanor following his arrest by Highway Patrol troopers on the Turner Turnpike. Charles Michael Brownlee, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Nov.
