A Wellston woman, one of four people residing in the same residence with nine children in 2023 and facing a child neglect charge, has withdrawn her previous plea and pleaded guilty.

AMeekermanhasdiedin a single vehicle traffic collision on I-44 northbound north of I-40 in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.Lt. Smith of Troop A, who investigated the collision, identified the 20-year-Meeker man as Keavin Grady.

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer TwoMcLoudmenfacing three felony charges each in connection with trafficking illegal drugs, cultivation of a controlled substance and possession of firearms during commission of a felony have avoided trials.

The Chandler Junior High 8th Grade Academic team placed first at Districts in November, runner up at Regionals in December and runner up at Area on Jan. 29. They’ve qualified for the Challenge of Champions academic meet, scheduled for March 29 at Redlands Community College in El Reno. The team has made it to this competition about three times. Another quail season has come and gone. In a way, I’m sorry I missed hunting the bobwhites other than briefly when my good friend Steve Buoy and I hunted them during the turkey season when we could hunt both quail and turkey.
