Felony charges for OKC man

An Oklahoma City man faces two felonies and three misdemeanors following his arrest by a Lincoln County deputy sheriff in mid-May.

Formal charges were filed May 27 in Lincoln County District Court against Dillon Bryce Key, 27.

He is charged with two felony counts of placing body fluid on government employee; loiter in, injure, molest motor vehicle/joy ride; public intoxication and disturbing the peace; and obstructing an officer.

The latter three are all misdemeanors.

Special Judge Emily Mueller set a $10,000 bail for Key who made his initial appearance on May 27. She scheduled a pre-preliminary hearing for Key at 1:30 p.m. on June 3.

In Count 1, Key is accused of placing body fluid on a government employee by spitting on Gage Elder, a Lincoln County jailer, on May 15.

Count 2 charges him with attempting to place body fluid on Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Kelly Coleman on the same date.

In Count 3, Key is accused of punching the automobile of Army Borcherding on the same date.

Key is charged with public intoxication and disturbing the peace by being on the right of way of SH 18 while intoxicated by alcohol.

The fifth count against him states he obstructed an officer by refusing to get in the patrol car at the order of Deputy Coleman after being placed under arrest for public intoxication, delaying the officer in the performance of his duties.

Prosecutors filed supplemental information in the case showing that Key was convicted on Jan. 14, 2016, in Oklahoma County District Court of second degree burglary and given a five-year sentence in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
