June Evans, 86, loving mother of three, passed away on October 30, 2022 in Fremont, Ohio.
June was born to Ralph and Lillie Parker in Long Beach, California in 1936, their youngest of two daughters.
She married Bill Evans on February 21, 1953, in Long Beach, California. They had three children together and moved to Chandler, Oklahoma in 1972. Not long after that she began working at Hite Drug, which continued until her retirement in 2012. She attended the First Assembly of God church for many years. She was a beautiful, kind woman, who always had a smile for everyone she met. Referred to as JuneBug by some, she had many friends in Chandler, and loved living and working in that community. She had a love for lighthouses, travel, the beach, and enjoyed ice-cream as often as possible. She had a deep love of her family, and looked forward to every moment she got to spend with them. She is survived by her son, Dick Evans (Vicki) of Monkey Island, OK, daughters, Vicki Sherwood (Ron) of Port Clinton, OH, and Michele Inskeep of Branson, MO. The following grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Grandma, Gramoo, and Mama Sassy Cat: April Vargas (Glen), Kari Sherwood, Wes Schroeder (Anneleen), Brent Evans (Ashley), Scott Schroeder (Miranda), Greg Evans (Elena), Michael Sherwood, Brittany Schroeder, Dylan Inskeep, Eli Inskeep (Kayla), Emily Inskeep, and Olivia Snider (Drew). She was referred to as Great-Mama by the following Great-Grandchildren: Austin Vargas, Madison Vargas, Payton Vargas, Karys Sherwood, Kai Sherwood, Lucas Schroeder, Penelope Schroeder, Link Inskeep, Brooklyn Evans, Luna Inskeep, Louise Schroeder, and Leo Schroeder. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ralph and Lillie Parker as well as her sister, Virginia “Jean” Teague.
