Lloyd Lewis passed away on March 21, 2023 at age 93. Mr. Lewis was born on October 16,1929 in Temple, Oklahoma. After serving in the Army, Lloyd met and married Nelda Jean Huffines in 1952. They raised two daughters in Oklahoma City where Mr. Lewis was employed by McCormick and Schilling for 25 years, retiring as a state sales manager. He was a member deacon at Northwest Baptist Church and had also achieved the rank as 32nd degree Mason. In 1981, the Lewis’ moved permanently to the farm in Lincoln County, which they had purchased in 1970. He raised black angus cattle and alfalfa. The couple moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico in 1992. Wanting to be nearer to family, the couple returned to Chandler, Okla. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at their home in Chandler. In October of 2022, the couple moved to the Baptist Villages of Broken Arrow. Lloyd Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow at the time of his death. Services are pending.
