Officials with the City of Chandler want to advise property owners that construction is scheduled to begin within the next 48 hours on 15th Street between Steele Avenue and Summer Lane.

The project will include grade, drain and asphalt surfacing on 15th Street (EW 9l) from State Hwy. 66 0.7 miles east to the Chandler city limits. The contractor on the project is A-Tech Paving.

Property owners can expect the roadway to be reconstructed in two phases. The south side will be completed first and is expected to take three weeks. The north side will be completed second and is expected to take three weeks. Each resident should maintain access the majority of the time.

Depending on weather, construction activities are anticipated to be complete within four to six weeks.

Assistance is requested with the following: Prevent water runoff into the street. If you water your lawn and it gets in the roadway, they will not be able to accomplish the work.

You are asked to not park your vehicle on the street. If a vehicle is in the roadway, the roadway work cannot be done. Also, be mindful of construction workers and their safety.

According to city officials, they are excited to be able to provide the improvements and apologize for any inconvenience this project may cause. The public’s understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
