Pott County has 11 COVID deaths

Pottawatomie County has recorded its 11 th death attributed to COVID-19 in the last week and the number of people in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties testing positive for COVID-19 continues to increase, the Oklahoma State Department of Health says.

The 11th death is a male in the 65 and older age group, the OSDH reported.

The number of new positive tests in Pottawatomie County jumped by 209 in the last week and in Lincoln County they increased by 85, according to figures provided by the OSDH.

Lincoln County’s number on Tues day was 648. A week ago it was 563.

The number of people testing positive for the virus in Pottawatomie County as of Tuesday this week stood at 1,793. Last Tuesday it was 1,584.

Between the two counties, the number of positive tests has jumped by 294 people in the last seven days.

Total number of people testing positive in the two counties now stands at 2,441.

A week ago that number stood at 2,147. Two weeks ago the number was 1,831.

Also as of Tuesday, there have been 21 reported deaths in the two counties, with 10 in Lincoln County.

Total number of people who have recovered in the two counties is 1,891 according to OSDH figures.

In Pottawatomie County, 1,414 have recovered and 477 have recovered in Lincoln County.

Statewide as of Tuesday, 101,493 have tested positive, there have been 1,119 deaths and 86,502 who have recovered.

Active cases stood at 13,872 the OSDH said.

Last week there were 93,346 testing positive, there had been 1,066 deaths and 79,219 had recovered.

There were 13,061 active cases a week ago.

On Tuesday of this week, the OSDH reported more than 1,309 new positive cases confirmed and 15 additional deaths.

The OSDH reports 1,272,223 have tested negative.
