Galvan charged with aggravated assault and battery

Bryan Migueal Galvan, 49, of Shawnee was charged with aggravated assault and battery and protective violation order.

According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Kevin Roe, Roe was dispatched on an assault call on July 22, where he met with Ekuran Veliu.

At 12:30 in the morning, Veliu noticed his vehicle was missing and stayed up until around 2:30 a.m. when it pulled back into the driveway, according to the affidavit.

Veliu’s ex wife, Tina, and Galvan were in the vehicle, Veliu told Galvan that he needed to leave which then lead to a fight, according to the affidavit. Galvan hit Veliu with a board that had two metal hooks in the end causing a deep laceration exposing cartilage on the Veliu’s nose, according to the affidavit.

According to the affidavit, Veliu said Galvan and Tina both ran off.

Roe and Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Tony Long couldn’t find Galvan walking so they had comm center contact the Shawnee Police Department to check his residence in Shawnee, according to the affidavit.

Galvan’s bond is $20,000 with no contact with the victim.

Galvans pre-preliminary hearing is set for Mar. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
