McLoud City Council members recently approved several contracts and adopted a resolution on rules and procedures for different meetings.

The contracts approved for the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 included those for the Pioneer Library System, Senior Citizens, and the city attorney.

The Council adopted an ordinance and passed the emergency clause on disorderly houses/nuisance properties.

Members adopted a resolution regarding rules and procedures for meetings of the Council, the McLoud Public Works Authority and the McLoud Economic Development Authority.

City Manager Buck Day explained the purpose of the resolution was to set a timeline for the city staff to have the agendas to the city attorney and to provide clearer guideline for deadlines.

“We’ve kind of veered off that,” he added.

Council members also agreed to a pay request of $106,423.75 to the contractor for the Community Development Block on the sewer line project under construction.

In other business, the Council took no action on amending title 3, Chapter 3 of the Itinerant Vendors Licenses adding revocation procedures.

Day said Police Chief Wes Elliott has advised there will be three School Resources Officers at the school this year when it opens back up.

Day advised Council members Wes Watkins Lake has been extremely busy since it reopened.

Day said that on next month’s agenda will be an item for discussion on allowing golf carts that are street legal to drive on city streets.
