Geraldine (Jerry) Marshall Walkingstick was born in Oklahoma City, OK on November 8, 1930 to William Edgar Marshall and Geraldine French Marshall. She passed away on December 30, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. Jerry grew up in Chandler, OK and graduated in 1948 from Chandler High School. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 1952 and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Mary Ann Aitken Winsby, nephews Robert and David Aitken.
Jerry is survived by her children--Judy Walkingstick, Jeff Walkingstick (Debbie Collins) and Janet Gotwals (Jim). She is also survived by her grandchildren who lovingly call her “Momo”; Jessica Bernson (Marc), Marshall Alsip (Julie), Ben Alsip (Jennifer), Jennifer Walkingstick, Jamie Dowdy (Joel), Emily Moreau (Jason), Katy Saint (Rich) and John Gotwals. Jerry has sixteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and three nieces.
Jerry loved her church family, art, music and Taos, New Mexico. She instilled her appreciation for these things with her family and friends. Jerry’s laughter, whit and storytelling will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She loved all of her many cats including her most recent constant companion Mr. “Charlie” Conklin. Charlie was always at her side and now resides in Chandler, OK.
The family is most grateful for Jerry’s caregivers and their dedication to her well-being. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Chandler Alumni Association or the Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, Tulsa, OK. The family will gather to honor their mother and grandmother at a later date.
