Lincoln County commissioners this week awarded a bid for a road project in District 1 and also approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma for a road overlay in District 3.
The commissioners awarded a bid of $245,955 to Haskell Lemon for an asphalt overlay project on 3500 Road in District 1.
They also adopted a resolution establishing an account for the 3500 Road Road asphalt overlay project in District 1.
Commissioners approved the Memorandum of Understanding with the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma for asphalt overlay on 740 Road and 750 Road in District 3.
They adopted a resolution establishing an account for the 740 and 750 Road asphalt overlay project in District 3.
They also approved Title Sheets for a bridge in District 3. It was explained the bridge is funded by the Sac and Fox Nation.
They held up on approving REAP Grant closeout documents for District 1 and SW Fire Departments. County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said all the documents were not ready yet.
After hearing from a LifeNet EMS representative regarding their jurisdictional boundaries in Lincoln County, commissioners took no action.
The also heard a brief presentation from Natalie Nell with information for future filming opportunities in Chandler and utilizing the courthouse. Commissioners asked Assistant District Attorney Stacy Bateman to review it. It will be brought back for a future meeting.
Commissioners agreed to hire the Bass Law Firm to represent the County Assessor in an appeal to the Oklahoma Court of Tax Review. It was pointed out the District Attorney had requested the firm be hired for that purpose.
In other business, commissioners: Accepted and signed the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Fiscal Year 25 renewal contract.
Adopted a resolution setting up an account for the ODMHSAS funds for inmate counseling services.
Approved a Declaration of Surplus for commissioners and safety departments.
Adopted a resolution appointing requesting, receiving, inventory officers for the Wellston Senior Nutrition Center.
Approved a Use Tax Resolution to set up Commissioner District payroll accounts in the Use Tax Fund.
Authorized bids specifications be set up to go out for bids on converting the Payment Annex to a Maintenance building.
Approved an indigent cremation.
Accepted an Altria E-Cigarette settlement Distribution.
