The Meeker FFA Chapter is expanding like never before, celebrating a year of significant growth, achievement, and community engagement. The chapter’s enrollment in the Ag Edu. program more than doubled over the past year—from 65 students in 2024 to an impressive 139 students in 2025.
To allow for this growth, Meeker Public Schools welcomed an additional FFAAdvisor, Mr. Justin Boone, for the 2024-2025 school year. His addition has helped enhance the program’s ability to include more ag mechanics, time in the shop, and building projects. Mr. Boone stated “My time at Meeker FFA has not only been rewarding; but, it’s been the best program I’ve ever been a part of in my entire 20-year career.” The adding of Mr. Boone has also led more students to participating in Leadership Development Events (LDE) and Career Development Events (CDE).
This year’s end-of-year FFA Banquet presented over 200 awards to students in recognition of their hard work and leadership. More than 30% of Meeker FFA members actively competed on CDE and LDE teams, highlighting the chapter’s strong participation in competitions and leadership development. The success of the chapter did not go unnoticed as it also had two State FFA degree recipients, seniors Rylee Pryor and Amos Grimes.
Meeker FFA also earned prestigious recognition at both the state and national levels. The chapter was named a State Model of Excellence Chapter, and was honored as a National Premier Chapter Finalist—a testament to the dedication of its members and advisors.
Mr. Boone joined Mr. Logan Johns, who has served at Meeker Public Schools for the past six years. The ag mechanics and shop time that Mr. Boone provided paired nicely with the leadership development that Mr. Johns does so well. When asked about his time at Meeker, Mr. Johns responded, “Serving as an AG-ED instructor at Meeker has been an incredibly humbling experience. Since the beginning of my career, I have believed that I have the privilege of working with some of the best students Oklahoma has to offer. Our FFA members’ work ethic, drive, and passion has consistently proved that during my tenure here.”
As the chapter looks to build on this success, the 20252026 officer team has been announced and is ready to lead new FFA members. The newly elected officers are:
