James Blakley Hargrove Jr. of Prague was born February 11, 1934, in Okfuskee County, Okla. He died Monday, August 26, 2019, in Prague at the age of 85 years. Hargrove, the son of Blake and Olive (Walsh) Hargrove, married Jackie Chaffin on August 29, 1958. A 1952 graduate of Prague High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma A&M University in Stillwater, Okla. He was a teacher before starting his career in banking and retired as President of BancFirst of Prague. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Prague. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Jackie; one son and daughter-in-law, Blake Sr. and Marva Hargrove; one daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Mike Denney. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister Francis Hrdlicka; and other family and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 29, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons and Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Burial followed at Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
