Betty Lou (Elam) Staley was born to Ray and Opal (Marler) Elam on August 17, 1955, in Ponca City, Okla. She died Friday, September 25, 2020, in Ponca City at the age of 65 years.
A homemaker, Staley graduated from high school in Ponca City in 1973 and was a member of Ranch Drive Baptist Church near Ponca City.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband Danny Joe Biby; and three siblings, Jim Elam, Barbara Sloan and Sue Grimm.
Survivors include her husband Mike R. Staley of the home; her children and their spouses, Ray and Rhonda Elam of Ponca City, Elizabeth Biby and Matt Briggs of Bartlesville, Okla., Wayne and Holly Imsdahl of Missouri, Diane Cienny, and Billy Imsdahl, both of Kansas; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Jerry and Pat Elam and Jan and Mike Mitchell, all of Davenport and Michael and Sandy Elam of Broken Arrow, Okla.; her sister-in-law Louise Withers; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Davenport with Bro. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Resthaven-Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Ponca City under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
