Robert John “Johnny” Butler was born February 25, 1942, in Newport, Tenn. He died Saturday, May 30, 2020, at his home in Prague. He was 78 years old.
Butler, the son of Charles Floyd and Sally May (Beason) Butler, married Joan Helen Taylor on May 26, 1967.
A 1961 high school graduate, he served in the United States Navy.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother George Butler and his sister JoAnne Leonard.
Survivors include his wife Joan Butler; his daughter and son-in-law Sallie and Jeff Harrison; his son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Kelly Butler; his half brother Michael Kelsey; five grandchildren; one greatgrandson; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 5, 2020, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Prague with burial following at Garden Grove Cemetery in Prague. Services were in the care of Parks Brothers F uneral Service in Prague.
