Wanda Faye Foster

Wanda Faye Foster of Davenport was born April 29, 1935, in Kendrick, Okla. She died Monday, February 24, 2020, at the age of 84 years.

Foster, the daughter of James and Virginia (Cornett) Johnson, married William “Bud” Melvin Foster on October 1, 1955, in Stillwell, Okla.

A graduate of Kendrick Public Schools, she retired from Davenport Public Schools as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Davenport.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her twin sister Edith Helm; and two brothers, Kenneth Johnson and James Johnson.

Survivors include four sons and their wives, Bill Foster of Chandler, David and Regina Foster of Bixby, Okla., Jeff and Penny Foster of Stroud, Bill Foster and Mike and Sue Foster, all of Chandler; 11 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Sandra Haines of Ponca City, Okla.; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Davenport with Pastor Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
