Meeker Public Schools has announced Mallory Blankenship as the valedictorian and Asa Watham as the salutatorian for the Class of 2025.
Meeker
Mallory Blankenship
Mallory Blankenship is the daughter of Shane and Misty Blankenship. She has attended Meeker Public Schools for 13 years.
She has a 3.87 GPA and made the Oklahoma Small School Band Directors Association All-State Honor Band in 2024 and 2025. She’s also made the East Central Oklahoma Band Directors Association District Honor Band and the Cimarron Valley Honor Band for six years and received superior ratings in state solo in 2024 and excellent ratings in 2023. She’s been on the Superintent’s Honor Roll from 2022 to 2025 and won Outstanding Musician in the Pride of Meeker for three years. Blankenship was also selected to represent Meeker High School at the HOBY Leadership Conference and is a member of the National Honor Society. She’s been chosen for the Presidential Community Scholars Scholarship at the University of Oklahoma. She has also auditioned and been selected into the School of Music at the OU, Oklahoma State University and East Central University.
Blankenship is president of the National Honor Society, a FISH leader, drum major for the Pride of Meeker, Senior Class Secretary, and on the Student Council, while also playing in the High School Jazz Band.
She is a member of Hazel Dell Baptist Church, where she runs the computer and slides for church services, goes on a yearly mission trip, and volunteers with the children’s department and the Hidden Gems Special Needs Ministry. She also participates in the East Central University Community Band.
After graduation, Blankenship plans to attend college, where she will join the marching band and pursue a degree in music education.
Asa Watham
Asa Watham is the son of Clay and Carina Watham. He has attended Meeker High School since fifth grade.
He has a 3.86 GPA and is an Academic Letter Jacket recipient. He was also voted basketball team captain, Student Council president, senior class president and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has also made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.
Watham has been a class officer for four years, on yearbook staff for two years, a member of Student Council for four years, and on the leadership committee for two years.
He has volunteered at elementary literacy events, been the scoreboard and timekeeper at middle school vents, assisted in middle school basketball practice, done Toys for Tots, and volunteered at the Feed the Children warehouse.
Waltham works at Camp Cargill.
After graduation, he plans to attend Rose State College to pursue a degree in the medical field.
NRC
North Rock Creek High School has announced its valedictorian and salutatorians for the Class of 2025. Elizabeth Swindell has been named valedictorian, while Kinsey Branch and Jannah Shoffner were named salutatorians.
Elizabeth Swindell
Elizabeth Swindell is the daughter of Laura and Ryan Swindell. She has attended North Rock Creek Public Schools since Pre-K.
Swindell has a 4.0 GPA and is a National Merit Finalist. She’s also an Academic All-Stater and earned first-chair alto saxophone in the Oklahoma Music Educators Association and All-State Wind Ensemble. She earned a perfect score on the ACT.
Swindell is a member of Gifted and Talented and National Honor Society.
She also teaches free music lessons for woodwind instruments.
Swindell is employed at The Tuneful Tech in Oklahoma City.
After graduation, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in music education. She plans to become a band director.
Kinsey Branch Kinsey Branch is the daughter of Courtney and Roy Branch. She has attended North Rock Creek Public Schools for four years.
Branch has a 4.0 GPA and is an OSU Institutional Nominee for Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
She also won a showmanship award for cheer and had top grades in multiple classes.
Her activities include Student Council, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, History Club, Gifted and Talented and Cheer.
Branch was a mentor for Cougar Youth Athletics and cheerleading. She also did a senior project raising money and awareness for child care.
She is employed as a childcare teacher at TenderCare TNG.
After graduation, Branch plans to earn a degree in chemical engineering at Oklahoma State University.
Jannah Shoffner Jannah Shoffner is the daughter of Joshua and Suzanne Shoffner. She has attended North Rock Creek Public Schools for two years.
Shoffner has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society. She was also one of the 2024 “Players Who Impressed” at the Elite Club National League National Soccer Tournament in Davis, California. She was Oklahoma Christian All-Tournament Player in 2023, made the Seminole State College honor roll in 2023 and 2024, and was North Rock Creek’s February Student of the Month.
Shoffner is a member of the National Honor Society, executive secretary for the Student Council, treasurer of the Spanish Club, and plays with the Elite Club National League Celtic Soccer Club.
She has volunteered at Hope Pregnancy Center, The Regency Skilled Nursing and Therapy, and at Shawnee’s Community Market.
Shoffner is currently employed as a cashier and server at McAlister’s Deli.
Prague
Prague High School has announced its valedictorians and salutatorians for the Class of 2025. The valedictorians are Ronan Martin, Ella Simek, Savana Sims and Madison Swinford. The salutatorians are Benton Quary and Maylee Vass.
Ronan Martin
Ronan Martin is the son of Scott and Ronnae Martin. He has attended Prague Public Schools for three years.
He has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma High School Honor Society. He’s also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Academic All Conference. Martin was named co-defensive player of the year, was a finalist for Best of Tri-County Area Preps Football Player of the Year, made Vype Top 100 Football Players in Oklahoma, and the Daily Oklahoman’s 112th All-State Football Team Honorable Mention for Linebacker. He was a state qualifier for powerlifting and state champ freshman year.
Other awards Martin has won are the American Literature Award, Trig/ Pre-Calc Award, Digital Marketing Award, Curve Setter Award-Chemistry, Government Award, Algebra 2 Award, American History Award, World Literature Award and Biology Award.
Martin has been on the football team, powerlifting team and in the spirit club.
He has helped at Top Tier Quickness with the Younger Group, Little League Football Camp and coach proper form in the weight room.
After graduation, Martin plans to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University and major in premed and play football. He then hopes to attend medical school at the University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University.
Ella Simek
Ella Simek is the daughter of Fred and Dana Simek. She has attended Prague Public Schools for 12 years.
Simek has a 4.0 GPA and has made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll for eight semesters. In basketball, she made first team All Conference her junior and senior year, as well as Academic All Conference. She is also an Academic Letterman.
Simek has been on Student Council and was class president for four years and secretary and president of the Executive Council. She’s also been in Business Professionals of America, FFA, National Honor Society, the Principal’s Advisory Council, Youth for Christ, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the academic team, the spirit club, Leadership Council, BancFirst Student Board, VisionBank board, basketball and softball.
She is a Forever Fit Studio representative and has completed 577 total hours of community service through her various organizations.
After graduation, Simek plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy.
Savana Sims
Savana Sims is the daughter of Melinda and Curtis Sims. She has attended Prague Public Schools for 13 years.
She has a 4.0 GPA and made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. Sims is also an Oklahoma Youth Tour recipient, 2023 HOBY alumn, and has won several Lions Club awards.
Sims has been on the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Teen Board. She’s also been on the cheer team, Student Council, Youth For Christ, the National Honor Society, the Business Professionals of America leadership team, BancFirst Student Board and the Vision Bank Financial Leadership Class.
She has coached little league cheer from 2021 to 2024, volunteered at Prague Elementary School as a teacher aide, and spent time each month reading to students. She has also helped with childcare at a couple of local churches and participated in handing out candy at the SSC trick-or-treat trail.
Sims has worked at Cracker Barrel as a hostess for two years and recently started working as a server.
After graduation, Sims plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in biomedical science. She then plans to attend chiropractor school to obtain a doctor of chiropractic degree.
Madison Swinford
Madison Swinford is the daughter of Keith and Ashley McCaul and Brad Swinford. She has attended Prague Public Schools since Head Start.
Swinford has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She’s also been a Girls’ State delegate and won the Lions Club Award, American Legion Award, Student of the Month and made the Seminole State Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll.
Her clubs and activities include Business Professionals of America. She’s also a Red Cross Youth Leader.
Swinford was the 2023 Prague Kolache Queen and volunteered at the Bethany Children’s Hospital, Red Cross Leaders Saves Lives and is on the Middle of a Miracle Teen Board.
She’s been a server at Cowpoke’s since 2023.
After graduation, Swinford plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in biomedical sciences. She then plans to attend medical school and become a pediatric oncologist.
Benton Quary
Benton Quary is the son of Chad and Amanda Quary.
He has attended Prague Public Schools for 12 years.
Quary has a 3.99 GPA and an Academic Letter jacket. He was also a Boys’ State delegate, Student of the Month, and Player of the Week four times for basketball. Quary made All-Conference in basketball for two years and won numerous Lions Club awards.
He is a member of Business Professionals of America, Future Farmers of America, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, basketball, VisionBank Leadership Council, BanFirst Student Board of Directors, National Honor Society, Oklahoma High School Honor Society and the Principal’s Advisory Team.
Quary has been a member of and youth leader at Calvary Way Church, as well as volunteered as a little league basketball coach.
He works as a basketball referee for the local leagues and tournaments.
After graduation, Quary plans to attain a bachelor’s degree in biology with the goal of becoming a physician’s assistant.
Maylee Vass
Maylee Vass is the daughter of Catherine and Colby Vass. She has attended Prague Public Schools for three years.
She has a 3.98 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a Girls’ State attendee, an Academic Letter Jacket recipient, and a “P” Award recipient. Vass has been secretary for FCCLA, vice president of FFA, captain of the varsity cheer squad, captain of the jump rope team, co-captain of the softball team, co-founder and vice president of the rodeo team, class board secretary and executive board secretary of Student Council, founder and president of the spirit club and secretary of National Honor Society.
Other clubs and organizations Vass has been a member of are Business Professionals of America, art club and Upward Bound.
She’s also a concurrent student at Seminole State College.
Vass has volunteered at the Red Cross Scholarship Blood Drive, Penguin Shop, a club softball team, Care Closet and the Regional Food Bank.
She’s currently employed as a server at Cowpoke’s BBQ Diner.
After graduation, Vass plans to attend the University of Oklahoma, where she will major in public relations and minor in advertising.
