A Prague couple facing over 40 felony charges between them related to child sexual abuse and physical abuse have waived their rights to a speedy trial.
Kimberly Ann Frisbie, 51, stood before District Judge Sarah Bridge on Aug. 25 and waived her right to a speedy trial. She was granted a continuance to the Jan. 9 trial docket. Bridge ordered that she return for felony disposition on Dec. 15. Representation for her co-defendant, Jeffrey Louis Frisbie, 56, made the same request and was granted a continuance and also ordered to return for felony disposition on Dec. 15.
The two were arrested on Sept. 10, 2024, and formally charged on Sept. 25, 2024. They posted bonds of $100,000 each. Kimberly faces 17 felony counts of child abuse, while Jeffery faces 16 felony counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, six counts of rape by instrumentation and four counts of rape in the first degree, according to court documents.
The couple last appeared in court on July 28 for a status conference. Jeffrey was an officer in the Prague Police Department at the time of his arrest. According to the probable cause affidavit, the District Attorney’s investigator Tony Foreman was assigned to investigate allegations of sexual abuse by Jeffrey Frisbie in August 2024. Three young girls underwent forensic interviews and detailed multiple allegations of physical abuse by Kimberly and sexual assault by Jeffrey while they were fostering the children.
The children were aged 8 to 10 at the time of the interviews, according to the affidavit.
