A $10,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of man who has a previous conviction for a similar charge.
Damien Cocca, 40, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on March 14, 2025 with domestic assault and battery by strangulation. The bench warrant for his arrest was issued the same day.
He is accused on Feb. 21, 2025 with the felony by intentionally and willfully strangling or attempting to strangle his ex-wife by choking her.
Supplemental information filed by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble shows that Cocca was previously convicted in Sequoyah County District Court on March 15, 2019 of domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor.
