Dale Board of Education members this week adopted a resolution to continue a .00495 cent county sales tax for the purpose of providing funding for each of the 14 public school districts in Pottawatomie County.
They also approved a resolution calling for the annual school election for Board of Education Office No. 5. That office is currently held by Board President Robin Wiley-Green who said she will seek another term.

Jones noted the vote to renew the tax would make it permanent. He said following the meeting that it’s up to Pottawatomie County commissioners to call for an election sometime in the future.
