Davenport Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet at 6 p.m. March 20 in the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church.
Tickets are on sale in advance for $20 and may be bought at Central Oklahoma Telephone Company’s office in Davenport.
Tickets also are available from Chisara Halsey at BancFirst in Chandler.
Tickets will be $25 at the door. Chamber president Marikari Buchanan said state sen. Grant Green of Wellston will be the speaker. Other elected representatives from the area will attend.
The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at the banquet, as will the Davenport High School senior college scholarship.
The Chamber will also recognize winners of the annual “Keep Oklahoma Beautiful” art poster contest. Posters will be on display from entrants in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades at Davenport Elementary School. Top winners will be invited to the banquet to be recognized.
