Doolen re-elected chair of commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners here week re-appointed Lee Doolen as chairman of the Board of County Commissioners for another year. They also re-appointed Marlon Miller as vice chairman.

Doolen, who is District 3 commissioner, has served as chairman for several years. Miller, District 2 commissioner, served as vice chairman this past year.

Commissioners approved an Apprentice I.T. Network quote for the Court Clerk.

They approved the Sheriff’s Intergovernmental cooperating agreement with the Iowa Tribe and Stroud Police.

A six months bid was approved for rock for District 3. Commissioners also adopted a resolution authorizing an insurance distribution of funds for the Sheriff’s Department.

They approved a TASC contract with the Assessor’s office.

In other business, commissioners: Took no action on the Starfield Acres Plat in District 1 and the Canyon Creek Plat in District 1.

Took no action on a Title Sheet for a bridge in District 1.

Approved a Declaration of Surplus for the Sheriff’s Department.

Approved appointment of Requisition Officers for the Court Clerk and the Sheriff’s Department.

Adopted a Fair Board Election resolution. The election will be on Feb. 13.

Approved the amended 2022, 2023 and 2024 SEFA report.

Appointed a board member to Project Heart.

Appointed Commissioner Miller as a non-voting member to the 911 Trust Authority.

Approved a CBRI account for a fence for a bridge. Re-appointed Commissioner Doolen to the Community Action agency.

Re-appointed District 1 Commissioner Will Fine as a board member to Oklahoma Public Employee Health and Wellness.

Appointed board members to the Industrial Development Authority.

Kept Commissioner Doolen as a board member for Circuit Engineering District #4.

Re-appointed Commissioner Fine to the COEDD Board.

Accepted the Emergency Management Performance Grant award.
