Fourth felony for Chandler man

A Chandler man already facing three felonies and a misdemeanor, has been charged with a fourth.

Darrick Lee Delano Hunter, 41, was formally charged Dec. 8 in Lincoln County District Court with violation of the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Registration Act.

A $5,000 bench warrant was issued for his arrest the same day the charge was filed. Court records show the warrant was returned and filed on Dec. 11.

He appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk on that day and she order his bond remain as previously set.

Two other bench warrants issued his arrest on three felonies and a misdemeanor in two different cases were returned on Dec. 4.

The cases were filed and bench warrants issued on consecutive days.

He was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Nov. 27 with kidnapping and domestic assault and battery by strangulation, both felonies. A $25,000 bench warrant was issued the same day.

On Nov. 28, he was charged in Lincoln County District Court with first degree burglary, a felony and domestic abuse-assault and battery, a misdemeanor. A $15,000 bench warrant was issued on the same day.

Judge Kirk has ordered a $50,000 bond remain on the kidnapping and domestic assault and battery by strangulation counts and his further appearance has been set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 8.

She also ordered a $30,000 bond remain on the first degree burglary and domestic abuse-assault and battery charges and has scheduled his next appearance for 1 p.m. on Jan. 8.

Supplemental information filed by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble shows Hunter has been convicted of at least seven previous felonies.

In the kidnapping charge, Hunter is accused of between Nov. 17 and 18 this year of forcibly confining Raelynn Smith.
