Saturday, October 26
Ofc. Gilleland responded to a two-car collision on 1st and Manvel involving a red Toyota Rav4 and a white Dodge 150. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, and neither driver had any injuries.
Sunday, November 3
Ofc. Wells responded to a two-car incident on First and Iowa involving a white Chevrolet Trax and a white Chevrolet GC1. The vehicles had minor damage, and no injuries were reported.
Tuesday, November 12
Ofc. Wells responded to a shoplifting call at Atwoods. An employee there reported that a white male entered the store and put several items on a flat cart before putting all but a Dewalt tool kit back. He then walked through the store with the kit and exited through the back, where he got into a black Toyota driven by a black man. The employee provided two possible tag numbers that didn’t return to a black Toyota. Wells found surveillance footage of the man, but there was no clear picture for identification. The tool kit is valued at $337.94.
Sunday, November 17
Ofc. Wakefield responded to a call about a man in an abandoned home on W 10th Street. When he arrived, he made contact with the man and checked to see if he had any warrants. The man had two out of Lincoln County for BreakingandEnteringaDwellingWithoutPermissionand Trespassing After Being Forbidden. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
Sunday, December 1
Ofc. Wells was on patrol when he witnessed a truck with a trailer fail to stop at the red light on 6th Street and Manvel. He pulled the truck over and informed the driver why - the man said he knew he ran the red light. Wells then discovered that the man had a suspended license due to a traffic ticket in another state. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. He was booked for two municipal charges - Fail to Stop at a Stoplight and Operating a Motor Vehicle While License is Suspended.
Monday, December 9
Ofc. Wells responded to a two-car incident on 1st Street and North Price involving a black Mercedes S Class and a black and white semi-truck. The Mercedes was seriously damaged and towed by Chandler Tire Wrecker, while the semi had minor damage. No injuries were reported.
Wednesday, December 11
Ofc. Wells responded to a storage building burglary call on E 7th Street. He spoke with Terrie Sims, who reported that between 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 and 2:25 p.m. on Nov. 30, someone pried the hinges off a Ministry storage building and removed items donated for Christmas gifts for the community.They were specifically donations for the needy. Sims filled out a voluntary statement and gave Wells a list of stolen items. Wells took photos of the damage.
Monday, December 16
Ofc. Wells responded to the Chandler Walmart parking lot for a non-injury collision. He spoke to a couple in a white Chevrolet Malibu who claimed that a man in a black Saab backed into the front of their car while they were waiting for a parking spot. The man said he honked, but the Saab didn’t stop. He got into an argument with the driver of the Saab before he went into the store. Wells photographed the damage to the front of the Malibu and waited for the Saab driver to return. When the man did, he said he didn’t believe he had hit the Malibu because the driver kept changing his story and lied about recording the incident. The Saab driver thought they were trying to scam him. Ofc. Wells took the driver’s information and photographed the back of the Saab, though the driver said the damage was there before the incident. Wells then got footage from Walmart, but it was unclear if the vehicles actually made contact.
Tuesday, December 17
Ofc. Berry was on patrol when he saw a white car traveling south on Manvel at 5th Street with a passenger-side head lamp out. He initiated a traffic stop, during which he discovered the the car was not insured. The vehicle was impounded while the driver was issued a citation for Failure to Comply with Compulsory Insurance Law. Ofc. Anderson transported the driver home.
Ofc. Wells responded to a two-car incident on North Price Street near the I-44 on-ramp involving a maroon Dodge SQ2 and a white Chevrolet Silverado. There was minor damage to the vehicles, and no injuries were reported.
Wednesday, December 18
Ofc. Byford was on patrol when he observed a white woman walking to her vehicle at OnCue and nearly falling multiple times. He followed the car once it left the parking lot, observing it going left of center multiple times and having a broken headlight. It turned into the parking lot of the On the Way gas station on W 1st Street and Byford watched it until it left 10 minutes later, during which he pulled the car over. The driver had slurred speech and provided a license and expired insurance. Dispatch informed Byford that the driver’s license was revoked. The car was impounded while the driver was taken to the Lincoln County Jail and booked for Driving While Revoked and No Insurance.
