County Commission meeting

Lincoln County commissioners this week took no action on selecting counsel regarding litigation involving E-Cigarettes.

The commissioners, after spending about 30 minutes in executive session, returned to open meeting and decided to take no action on passing a resolution to select Fulmer Sill and Frantz Law Group, APLC to serve as counsel for the county in litigation involving E-Cigarettes for the marketing, sales practices and products liability which has caused harm to the county.

After the executive session, they also voted to authorize District 2 Commissioner Marlon Miller to negotiate up to the amount they discussed on the purchase of real property.

Commissioners tabled action on a new Access Control System for the courthouse. They agreed to continue discussion on a Cyber Security Plan for the courthouse and took no action.

They approved the Lincoln County Emergency Response Procedures. Commissioners held a lengthy discussion regarding 911 street and road signs. It was for discussion only.

In other business commissioners: Approved a bid from Midwest for digital ballots. Tabled membership to C-PACE Financing. Took no action on purchase of One Map Software for roads. Adopted a resolution to dispose of equipment for the Sheriff’s Office. Approved purchase of blinds for the Assessor’s office out of the courthouse improvement fund.

Approved an ARPA-2 form for ARPA disbursement request for the Agra lift station. Approved a Division Order contract with Freedom Operating Company, LLC. Adopted a resolution appointing requesting, receiving, inventory officers for the District Attorney’s Office and District 3.

Approved OMMA funded projects. Approved a grant access form for OEM for 911 GIS grants. Took no action on a salary formula for elected officials starting January of 2023. Took no action on a Hazard Mitigation Plan for Lincoln County.
