The Dale Board of Education this week hired a new elementary principal for the 2022- 2023 school year, filled several elementary and middle school teaching positions and also employed support staff for the coming school term.
The board also reorganized. Ronnie Newton will serve as president, Josh Clark is now vice president and Robin-Wiley Greene is clerk.
The new, incoming superintendent of Dale Schools, Will Jones, who attended Monday night’s board meeting, was introduced to those in attendance.
He will officially take over July 1, replacing Acting School superintendent Ky Wilkins who is retiring June 30.
Board members also recognized Wilkins, financial secretary Paula Ramsey and counselor Carren Cantrell-Milligan, all who are retiring, by presenting them plaques.
Ramsey has been at Dale for 31 years and Cantrell-Milligan is retiring after 24 years.
Following a brief executive session, the board voted to hire Tamee Daniel as the new elementary principal for 2022-2023.
Wilkins said that Daniel has been an elementary teacher at Dale.
Elementary teachers hired include Jenny Dilbek, Jill Bates and Cissili Sample.
Middle school teachers hired include Ashley Barbosa, Jerry Sanford and Jeremy Bates.
Support staff hired in a capacity to be determine include:
