Olen Murriel ‘Jack’ Robinson was born June 3, 1931. He was 1 of 8 children born to Clara and George Robinson of Sparks, Oklahoma. He was drafted and sent to Korea where he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the war. After spending a year in Korea, he returned and went to work at Tinker Air Force base where he retired following 20 years of service.
In May 1956, Olen married Joyce (Martin) and they raised 2 children together, Sherial Clark and Olen Robinson. In 1973 Olen married Sarah Gayman and they were married 47 years. Between them, they shared 6 children, 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Alfred, Cecil, Wilford (Bud), and Lorence; 2 sisters, Florence and Florene. Survivors include his sister, Inez Wilson; brother-in-law, James Walker; children, Sherial Clark, Olen Robinson; along with many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Lehman Funeral Home with interment following in the White Dove Cemetery of Sparks. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
