Jerry Ann (Morgan) Davis of McLoud, Okla., passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the age of 83.
Jerry was born to parents Jerry Clifford and Ruby Sue (Sheppard) Morgan on February 13, 1938, in Stigler, Okla. She attended Chandler and Edmond high schools graduating in 1956. Following high school Jerry attended Central State University, Edmond, Okla., attaining a Bachelor of Education degree. She taught 28 years in Oklahoma City and Choctaw public schools, where she was awarded teacher of the year two times, until her retirement.
Jerry, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, attended United Methodist Church and loved teaching, painting and riding horses with her husband, James.
Jerry is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Daniel Davis; daughter-in-law Virginia Sue Davis of Harrah, Okla.; sons Steve Edward Davis and wife Cindy of Newalla, Okla., and Kelly Terrel Davis and wife Janita (Jan) of Choctaw, Okla.; grandchildren Marc Daniel Davis, Matthew Morgan Davis and Stephanie Brown Tesnow; great-granddaughter Kaleigh Brown; and cousin Joan Denslow of Torrance, Calif. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Daniel Morgan Davis.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Jerry’s ashes will be interred at Forrest Cemetery, Meeker, Okla.
