The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce will have its annual banquet Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Route 66 Interpretive Center.
Tickets are $25.
The speaker for the banquet will be Stephen E. Smith, with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center. The Oklahoma SBDC provides entrepreneurial and small business advising to help Oklahomans start and grow their business.
Before working for the OKSBDC, Smith retired after a 30-year career in education. The last position he held upon retirement was at Eastern Oklahoma State College, where he worked for 15 years with the last 13 years and three months as president. Upon his appointment as president on March 28, 2007, he was 38 years old and the youngest college president in that state.
