Rainfall that began falling early on Monday and was continuing into the evening on Tuesday has impacted some area roads in Lincoln County.
Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Brandon Morgan pointed out several roads have been impacted by the rains.
“Rainfall amounts have varied from anywhere between 3-7 inches,” Morgan noted.
The roads he was aware of that had been impacted at least some included these:
E 750 Road near S. 3350 Road; E. 750 Road near S. 3370 Road; E. 750 Road near S. 3390 Road; E. 750 Road near S. 3420 Road; E. 760 Road near S. 3450 Road; E. 760 Road near S. 3460 Road; E. 780 Road near S. 3460 Road; E, 930 Road near S. 3310 Road; E. 940 Road near S. 3400 Road; and E. 1060 Road near S. 3380 Road.
District 2 Lincoln County Commissioner Marlon Miller indicated the rain had impacted some roads, but he was still assessing which ones.
District 3 Lincoln County Commissioner Lee Doolen said Tuesday morning, “Nothing serious yet.” Doolen confirmed that the bridge on E. 1060 Road near S. 3380 Road remains closed since the rainfall more than two weeks ago damaged it.
“We planned to fix it this week, but it will have to wait til next week,” Doolen said.
District 1 Pottawatomie County Commissioner Melissa Dennis said about mid-morning Tuesday, “No damage at all.”
Pottawatomie County Emergency Management Director Chad Larman said the county had received 1½ inches of rainfall by late morning Tuesday, but no issues had been reported.
