It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just two days away and 2021 is quickly coming to a close. Stroud has had a good year with many improvements taking place in our community. I can’t wait to see what all we accomplish this next year.
I saw on Facebook that the building on Main Street which formerly housed Two Sisters Consignment is for sale. There are not a lot of empty buildings or buildings for sale on our Main Street Route 66. This would be a great opportunity to snatch up a prime piece of real estate.
David Evans continues working on the club house for the miniature golf course, “Putt-Putt Kicks on Route 66.” We are anxious to finish this project so that we can open it for visitors as well as our local families to enjoy.
Town Talk is looking into putting a swing in Foster Park for our “special needs” kiddos to enjoy. A few people have mentioned that this is needed in our community, and I think it is a great idea. If this is a project you’d be interested in donating to, please contact me at 918-527-9833.
The American Legion Auxiliary will be delivering a sweet treat to our Legion members this week to let them know we are thinking about them this Christmas season. We can never thank our veterans enough for the sacrifices they’ve made for each of us.
As the shopping days are quickly winding down, be sure and check out our local merchants for all those last-minute Christmas presents. Let’s support our small shops. Town Talk wants to wish each one of you a Merry Christmas. We appreciate the support we receive from our community as well as our out-of-town alums who contribute to our projects. We couldn’t do what we do without each of you. Have a Merry Christmas and remember to shop local…………first!
