Week of August 16-22 Carney
For the week:4-1. Wins over Depew (13-0 and 15-1), Asher (3-2) and Mulhall-Orlando (10-2). Loss to Asher (12-2). Record:5-6.
Emmalynn Drake was 3-for-4, drove in three runs and scored two in the first game against Depew. Chloe Freeman had a pair of hits and three RBI and Summer Keller threw five innings of one-hit ball to get the win in the circle.
The Lady Bulldogs scored early and often in the second game. Braycelee Holmes, Freeman and Gracie Hernandez had triples and Ashtyn Stokes doubled.
Holmes and Hernandez combined for three innings in the circle, allowing just one hit.
Holmes belted a home run in the second game against Asher and pitched a hitless inning.
She was back with a three-hit game against Mulhall-Orlando and scored a pair of runs.
Freeman and Hernandez had doubles and Kirkpatrick drove in two runs.
Chandler
For the week:6-1. Wins over Wellston (11-0), Kellyville (12-3), Catoosa (2-1), Davenport (3-2) and Skiatook (91). Loss to Sapulpa (6-1). Record: 12-4.
Paige Keeling and Madison Herring combined to pitch 26-2/3 innings during the Lady Lions’ six-game winning streak last week, allowing just five earned runs.
Keeling threw 14-1/3, allowing 11 hits and just one earned run. Herring pitched 12-1/3 and surrendered just four earned runs.
Against Wellston, Hadley Howell and Makinlee Anglin doubled and Brenlee Corea was 2-for-2 with a walk and five stolen bases.
Hope Crews parlayed a single and two walks into three stolen bases, two runs scored and two RBI. Marlee Buys was 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Buys was 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI against Kellyville and Blaklei Smith was 3-for-5 and Corea scored three times.
Halle Herrmann drove in Crews with a third-inning single for what proved to be the winning run against Catoosa.
Smith singled and doubled and drove in three runs in the win over Dewar and Crews scored three times. Buys and Elli Hilgenfield scored twice each.
Herrmann stroked the game-winner against Davenport, driving home Corea in the bottom of the fifth. It was her second hit of the game and the second run scored for Corea.
Addie Miller went 2-for-2 and drove in four runs to key the win over Skiatook. Hermman had a double and scored twice and Hilgenfeld had a double.
Herrmann had a single and a double in the loss to Sapulpa.
Dale
For the week:4-0. Wins over Morrison (10-0), Tecumseh (10-0), Byng (10-2) and Broken Bow (12-7). Record: 9-0 The DLPs went 4-0 and remained unbeaten. Kinley Patten swung a big stick in the win over Morrison, going 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI.
Brooke Sheline and Taelyr Norman had doubles and Khloe Jones belted a triple. Macy Jones and Maycee Welcher combined for four innings of one-hit pitching.
The win over Tecumseh followed a similar script, with Higdon and Patten having doubles and Khloe Jones a triple. Macy Jones and Salem Flatt combined for four innings of shutout pitching.
Sheline homered and drove home five runs against Byng and Jayse Smith added a double.
Against Broken Bow, Higdon had a homer and two RBI, Holland Herring and Khloe Jones had doubles and Norman was a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI.
Davenport
For the week:4-1. Wins over Henryetta (3-1 and 3-2), Stroud (8-0) and Mounds (9-0). Loss to Chandler (3-2). Record: 6-3.
Gracie Moore pitched 14 innings in the two games against Henryetta and allowed just one earned run. She went all 10 innings in the Monday game, giving up seven hits and striking out 14.
Briley Hauk and Taylen Bridge scored in the top of the 10th of the Monday game to give Davenport the win.
In the Friday game, Moore doubled home Hauk and Lexi Blair with the winning runs.
In the Stroud game, Hauk doubled and had two RBI, Moore doubled and singled and drove in a run and Blair had a double.
Moore was prominent in the Mounds game, stroking a triple and a single and driving in four runs. Charlie Adams, Gabby Murfin and Blair had doubles and Blair drove in a pair of runs.
Murfin tripled and scored both Davenport runs in the loss to Chandler.
McLoud
For the week:6-0. Wins over Berryhill (9-3), Cleveand (11-0 and 1-10), Clinton (2-0), Altus (4-3), Tonkawa (52) and Ponca City (4-0). Record: 12-1.
The Lady Redskins ran off six straight wins to extend their winning streak to 10 games.
Makenzie Lane homered, tripled and drove in a pair of runs to key the win over Berryhill. Avery Soward had a double and two singles and drove home two runs and Macen Fixico had a triple and two singles and drove home two runs.
Miley Hicklin and Paisley Popplereiter dominated in the circle against Cleveland. Hicklin threw five innings of one-hit ball to get the win in the first game and Popplereiter threw five frames, giving up three hits and one run and striking out seven in the second game.
In the first game, Adley Wilson, Soward and Fixico had two hits each.
In the second, Lane had three RBI, Lyndse Rakestraw had a single and a double and two RBI and Hicklin had a double.
Kayse Higdon had a double and drove in both runs in the win over Clinton.
Soward had a double and a single and two RBI in the Tonkawa game and Lane and Lexi Patterson added doubles.
Hicklin got the win in the circle against Ponca City by throwing five innings of three-hit ball. She also had two singles and an RBI.
North Rock Creek
For the week: 5-1. Wins over Bristow (13-0), Madill (12-0), Davis (11-2), Ada (4-3) and Ardmore (9-1). Loss to Mannford (6-2). Record: 9-3.
The Lady Cougars jump-started their offense after losing on Monday to Mannford. They scored 49 runs in their next five games and boosted their record to 9-3.
Izzy O’Daniel had a triple and two singles and drove in three runs against Bristow. Aspyn Harder had two doubles and Kapri Rodriguez added another.
Madison Benson threw five shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out eight.
Against Madill, the Lady Cougars poured across nine runs in the first inning to remove any doubt about the eventual outcome.
Rodriguez had a triple, Benson had two doubles and Harder had a double. Jaden Clifton scored three runs.
Clifton was back against Davis with a triple, two singles and three RBI. Rodriguez had three RBI and Harder, O’Daniel and Bensen each doubled.
NRC scored four in the top of the fourth inning to get the W against Ada. Clifton, Rodriguez and Kassidy Streber had doubles.
Harder got the win in the circle against Ardmore and muscled up at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBI.
Benson was 3-for-3 with with a double and Aubree Shivelhood, Clifton and Benson added two-baggers.
Prague
For the week: 3-2. Wins over Morris (9-4), Tecumseh (7-2) and Yale (11-0). Losses to Bethel (11-5) and Cushing (5-3). Record: 6-2.
Emma Hinkle and Ainsley Auld combined for six hits and four RBI against Morris. Hinkle had a double and two singles and three RBI and Auld had three singles and three RBI, in addition to scoring three times.
Against Tecumseh, Hinkle had a double and two RBI, Dusti Gregory had a double and an RBI and M Roberts singled twice, scored two runs and drove in another.
Jaxcyn Goodnight homered, tripled and drove in two runs in the romp over Yale.
Auld added a triple, H Elmore had two doubles and A Griffith and B Brown added a double each.
Stroud
For the week: 0-1. Loss to Davenport (8-0). Record: 3-6 Newkirk scored two in the top of the ninth to clip the Lady Tigers on Monday.
Georgia Hulsey went the distance in the circle, allowing two earned runs and striking out six. She also doubled, singled and drew a walk.
Miyah Clark, E Williams and C Wilson had the Lady Tigers’ other hits.
Wellston
For the week: 1-2. Win over Meeer (17-0). Losses to Chandler (11-0) and Glencoe (4-3). Record: 3-4.
Autrey McConnell was 2-for-w with a double and four RBI in the win over Meeker.
Sava Gaylord had a pair of doubles and drove in three runs, A Fish was 2-for-2 with a triple and single and drive in three runners, and K McConnell had a double and two RBI.
Kamber Goodman tripled. T Payne got the win in the circle, pitching three innings and allowing just two hits.
Goodman had two singles in the Chandler game and B Estes added a single.
Gaylord had Wellston’s lone hit against Glencoe.
