Five make honor roll at Southern New Hampshire

Five students from the Lincoln County area have made the Fall 2023 President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University, according to the school. The students are Jerry Holland from Stroud, Kristopher Murchison and Amber Murchison from Chandler, and James Gunn and Kristi Gunn from Prague.

Trial set for judge

A trial date has been scheduled for suspended Lincoln County District Judge Traci Soderstrom by the Court on the Judiciary. Soderstrom has been suspended since early October after the State Supreme Court filed a petition seeking her removal from office.

Winter weather en route

Winter has arrived in Lincoln County, with more frigid temps in the forecast going into the weekend and next week. According to weather authorities, the area is looking at overnight temperatures plunging as low as 2 degrees Fahrenheit, with daytime highs ranging from 24 to 30 degrees.

Not guilty plea in Feb. shooting

AMidwest City man facing three felonies following a Lincoln County shooting near Wellston in February of 2023 that injured a person has pleaded not guilty. Casey Mac Wilson, 42, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Feb.
